Starting at the age of 12, Marissa has been involved in the arts industry, mainly interested in theatre. Throughout the years she’s had experience with live theatre, improv comedy, film and touring. She attended York University where she earned her Master’s Degree in Theatre and Performance, with a primary focus on Children and Education. During her years of university, Marissa volunteered at Young People’s Theatre as a teacher’s assistant during the fall and winter sessions. After University, Marissa worked and traveled in the United States working at two different theatres. She is also the Head of Drama at The Song Spot School of Music and works as an ECA. Filled with a drive and passion for children and youth, she desires to use Drama and creative arts as a source for education and development. With her enthusiastic, bright and outgoing personality, she plans on proving how theatre can go beyond entertainment!
