Lee Stone (they/them) is a queer, trans and non-binary, multidisciplinary theatre practitioner with a focus in directing, collective creation, producing and teaching. As a director, their inspiration is to engage with stories for social change through the lens of feminism. They are a graduate of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and the founder of Dead Name Theatre (DNT), which uplifts and centres the voices, experiences and talents of queer, trans and non-binary creatives in Toronto (deadnametheatre.weebly.com). In 2021 they were the teacher assistant for Young People’s Theatre Junior Ensemble. They have taught a range of theatre classes for youth including acting, directing, fight choreography, stage production and playwriting/performance for ESL students.
