Rahaf Fasheh

Rahaf is a Palestinian theatre director and educator based in Toronto who is passionate about collaborative and purposeful work that gives voice and opportunity to under-represented Arab communities. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from U of T, specializing in Theatre (2020), with a focus on acting, devised theatre and directing. Rahaf’s training consists of a wide range of programs including Soulpepper Theatre’s City Youth Academy (2015) for collective creation and ensemble work, Paprika Theatre’s Directors Lab (2021) for directing; and Nightwood Theatre’s Innovators Program (2022) for producing. She had a sold out directorial debut for a two-week independent run at Theatre Passe Muraille (2019), and is currently directing Shakespeare in Action’s (SIA) Winter Kids Show (2022). Rahaf engaged in a few script-development workshops including with Cahoots Theatre, as well as a current Arabic play modern adaptation workshop with Pleiades TheatreHer experience as an educator includes assistant directing SIA’s Theatre Summer Camp for kids last summer, as well as providing ongoing educational workshops and classes with SIA and Tarragon Theatre. Rahaf currently remotely production manages an animated adaptation of a new play, How We Fall in Love, with an international team of Palestinians, while teaching with Young People’s Theatre.
