Description

Is your child preparing to light their high school show? From torches and candles to modern LED, lighting has been a part of theatre creation for thousands of years. Participants will learn about colour, angle, intensity, and movement, and how changing any one of them can instantly transport you to another world, trigger a new emotion, or make magic happen. Participants will also take a peek behind the curtain to see how stage lighting is created and controlled on a lighting board. Their guide will be Joshua Hind, YPT’s Director of Production and a 22-year veteran of the theatre who for 10 years was Lighting Project Manager at Cirque du Soleil.

Pizza will be provided at the break!
