YPT's Imaginarium

About the Event

On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, Young People’s Theatre (YPT) hosted their 4th annual Imaginarium fundraising event at The Globe and Mail Centre on King Street East.

Imaginarium: An Evening in Wonderland turned the 17th floor event space at The Globe and Mail Centre into a magical forest wonderland, complete with a functioning swing covered by Quince Flowers, superb wine from Peller Estates, and two gorgeous pianos from Steinway Piano Gallery. Presidential Gourmet provided a variety of canapés and delicious dinner for Imaginarium guests as they were serenaded by YPT performers throughout the evening.

The Honourable Michael Tibollo, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, spoke to Imaginarium guests during the cocktail hour, emphasizing the importance of YPT in the cultural ecology of Ontario. During dinner, YPT’s Past Board Chair, David Scandiffio, announced the Slaight family’s very generous gift of $5 million to YPT’s Room for Imagination capital campaign.
