Julia is a theatre educator, producer and administrator currently based in Toronto. Previous experiences include working with Studio 180 Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille, Off-Key Productions, and with the Festival Players of Prince Edward County. Julia has a post-graduate certificate in Arts Administration and Cultural Management from Humber College, as well as a Bachelor of Education with a focus on Artist in the Community Education and a BAH in Theatre Studies from Queen’s University.

My favourite YPT shows are Antigone:方 from this past season or The Secret Garden from a couple of seasons ago (I just can’t choose!)
Describe your favourite Drama School memory:
My favourite Drama School memory involves being a part of the very first read-through of a script that I had helped create. There’s nothing like seeing an idea come to life!
What would the central theme of a play written about you be?
The central theme of a play about me would be that you should work hard and dream big, but never forget to be little silly along the way.
As the 2019/20 Season theme is the Seven Ancestral Teachings, what is something you appreciate about Toronto and why?
I appreciate that Toronto is right next to Lake Ontario, because it reminds me of home and growing up surrounded by water. Also, it reminds me to cherish how lucky I am to have access to clean water every single day, and to do what I can to help everyone gain that access.
